A Korean-language Yahoo Website survey found that mobile phones have topped the list of gifts South Korean children most want, according to Agence France-Presse report.
The poll, which asked 16,661 youngsters nationwide, said 37 percent preferred cellphones as the best gift. Nintendo video game consoles took the second spot with 30 percent approval, followed by MP3 players with nine percent.
Survey results were released on the eve of Children's Day on May 5, which South Korea has observed since 1923 with parents buying gifts for their children.
