Huawei bags mobile network deal in Singapore

Huawei Technologies Co. has been selected by Singapore's Mobile One (M1) to deploy its ALL IP GSM, 3G, HSPA and LTE systems over the next five years.

The Singapore mobile and wireless broadband operator chose Huawei to support the future expansion and upgrade of the company's 3G and HSPA network that include both the CORE and UTRAN whole network spans. Under the terms of the contract, Huawei has been given the task of implementing an end-to-end ALL IP network to meet M1's future requirements.

Their capabilities will greatly support and complement our efforts to plan ahead to deliver mobile and other services that will meet the future needs of our customers."
