Full-length movies soon on cellphones


Thanks to Sony Pictures Television, "Karate Kid" and "Ghostbusters" may soon be viewed on the cellphone by U.S. users.

The unit of Japan's Sony Corp. intends to be the first Hollywood studio to offer full-length movies by cellphone, according to an AP report.

A range of popular titles will be offered starting May on new LG Vu and Samsung Access phones from AT&T Inc. Advertisements will be streamed in a loop and the titles will not be available on demand.

Pricing for new subscriber packages is yet to been determined, said AT&T.
